It’s important to make note of things that if you obsess over, will make you end up in a straight jacket, and then, not obsessing. Keeping a rear view mirror aimed just over its head, invade it start hopping. Quick. Like a bunny.
A great many things changed with COVID. Many went completely unnoticed. Others are still running on ignorance, just waiting for the implosion that’s coming any moment.
lol, now see that’s the funny part. I don’t know why, but I often am able to nail the same message after I start. Completely unintentionally. I’ve been told that (and similar) pretty often. lol.
Last night, I cut the bulk of it down into a more easy rolling poetry cadence. I intend to put it up this afternoon.
Thanks!! It really makes my day when someone reacts positively to my writing. It was mostly over my parents head growing up, so I got used to positive comments with zero feeling backing them up pretty early on, lol.
When my writing paid for every penny of my time at college they certainly saw the value the lol.
I’m not doing it much at all now. I lost nearly all my contacts during COVID. The industries different now, I’m kinda digging my way back in.
One thing I advise, because it’ll build a community around you. Which is exactly what you want to keep growing. That is, whenever you make money writing, take a small portion and pass it on to an author you like. You give up very little, and have a good chance of making a permanent industry peer, which is priceless.
Oscar Wilde once said that patience was a virtue, only in those with no other. 🧠
That would be the line I used in my post. Pointedly.
Well said, Jack!
I'm happy my note was able to inspire this post, and the message is on point.

Same here. I give it enough attention so as to know if it is gonna cone down on my head. Not more.
Exactly!

It does seem like something could be right around the corner.
I don’t worry about it anymore. It just amplifies internal stress.

The whole making money via writing is still something I have to figure out. All in due time 😁.

Covid was a brutal wakeup call for a lot of people.
I'll keep that in mind. Thank you.
The inability to edit posts like this pisses me off almost immediately.
@mshirley36 thanks for the inspiration here.
