Free Speech is Your Right
Free Speech is a basic human right that every person is entitled to. Free speech has been in danger in the United States since the millennial turn, but not to the extent that it is now.
Tucker Carlson is a reprehensible, hateful, angry, and racist man. He was always supported Donald Trump. No more.
Trump has found what he believes is the best chance he’ll ever have to burn down the United States. If the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution fails, on any level, democracy cannot stand.
FIRST AMENDMENT
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
This is the corner stone that all of the United States stands. Free Speech, Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Belief, and peaceably doing so, are the Affirmations that the United States will always be by the People, and for the People. That no law or act of government may step upon this exceptionally basic idea is why I can write this. It is the only reason Substack Exists. It is why anyone here on Substack can talk about what they want, when they want, without fear of governmental intrusion.
I swore I would not listen to politics this year. And I’ve been mostly successful as I watch an 80 year old asshole spend millions of tax money so he can fly to and from Florida every week.
If I don’t stop now, I won’t ever. PLEASE listen to Tucker Carlson. It is now that Civil Disobedience is the correct action. It is through civil disobedience that we affirm our rights, directly, eye to eye, with companies, oligarchs, tobacco companies, oil companies that refused to remove lead for 20 years while they drug out a legal battle with Congress against the scientist they hired to do said tests.
Those things are abusive. They are wrong. Anyone who believes in freedom for any person, will stand up, and tell the White House to back the fuck off!!
