Building Realities Core 02

Other worlds and different whens.
Hey there readers and writers! Today’s Newsletter is the second “CORE” edition. Core edition newsletter focus on an important aspect of writing and worldbuilding. Today, let’s talk about storytelling.
Storytelling was once a very important aspect of all communities. Each generation would pass the stories to the next. Each generation could change and/or add new stories. The next generation, to do the same.
Oral history continues to be inspirational, with new details being verified, as they come to light. Indigenous tribes the world over are proof of the enduring nature of storytelling.
In this way, storytelling(and writing) serve the audience and the performer/creator. Every story told is a method of time travel. We do what we can to help the audience to understand different places and times.
Today, writers aren't always considered the most important of roles. Still, we continue. Stories must be told. Even as the printed word begins to fade, our stories will go on farther than we can imagine. A word heard is worth a dozen spoken.
See you Next time!
